Henry Sy is a Chinese-Filipino business magnate, investor, and philanthropist. He is involved in the industries of real estate, hospitality, banking, mining, education, and health care. He owns the SM Supermalls and is considered as one of the richest men in the Philippines according to the Forbes magazine. He is considered as the current CEO of SM Prime Holdings, Incorporation which is one of the largest firms in the Asia.
Henry Sy has a 24-year old granddaughter named Nicole Coson to his daughter Teresita “Tessie” Sy – Coson who is the BDO Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of SM Investment Corporation. Nicole is one of the heirs to the Sy family.
Nicole is a graduate of Central Saint Martins in London where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with a first-degree honor recognition in 2014. She studied in her youth in British School Manila back in high school where she exceeds in arts. Nicole is known for her works in different types of mediums yet primarily focuses on analog printmaking methods and skills.
For Nicole, art is business and pleasure put together. She admitted that she loves the path that she chose even if it was very much different from her family’s best interest.
Nicole is now currently living in London yet also ventured to Singapore for some learning in other artistic media. She learned the art of pottery at Jalan Bahar Clay Studios in 2016. Her current studio in London is one of the Top galleries in the world.
Because of her relationship with the Sy family, a lot of people judges her work as she is a granddaughter of the richest businessman in the Philippines that’s why she is inspired to do more about her passion for arts.
It was also been known that she is currently in a relationship with a Danish guy named Tristan for whom she is with for four years.
