A 10-year-old girl almost fell victim to an old lady who attempted to k1dn4p her outside their home in ParaƱaque City.
If not for the help of neighbors who saw the incident, the young girl would’ve been taken by the suspect.
The suspect was collared and admitted to being a member of a k1dn4pping syndicate.
Close Call
In a report from ABS-CBN News, the 10-year-old girl was playing outside their house when an old lady grabbed her tightly by her hands and asked to be accompanied to a store to buy load.
Fortunately, one of the neighbors went out and noticed the incident. She asked who the old lady was, prompting the suspect to let go of the hapless 10-year-old.
With the help of concerned neighbors, the suspect was collared while eating in one of the eateries nearby.
Admission Of Guilt
When grilled by the police, the suspect, identified as Lilibeth Bustamante, admitted that she was forced to join a k1dn4pping syndicate due to hard times.
She claimed that she only acts as a lookout while the other members were the ones who take the children.
The k1dn4pped children will be sold to white slavery and used in cybers3x activities. The suspect also said that they sell the children to pedophiles or to be taken into s3x dens.
The suspect is keen on cooperating with authorities to catch the other members of the syndicate hoping that her jail sentence would be shortened.
Warning To Parents
This incident should serve as a warning to parents not to be complacent and be diligent in their children’s safety.
They should always be aware of their children’s whereabouts, and to educate their child on how to deal with strangers.
The police also reminded to parents and guardians to be doubly careful as more and more k1dn4pping attempts involving children have been reported to the authorities lately.
