Neither heavy downpour nor knee-deep flood can prevent a couple from exchanging “I dos”.
The now husband and wife Joey Nunez and Gina Canete of Negros Occidental literally crossed a “sea” of flood in the name of love.
Clad in their wedding attires, Joey and Gina held hands as they crossed a knee-deep flood coming from their Church wedding last October 26. It was the same path they took going to the Church early in the day; except that they had to wear something regular and then they changed into their wedding attire at the church before the ceremony.
It may not be the ideal walk to the reception, where visitors welcome the lovers as newly-weds, but Joey and Gina just brushed off the situation and genuinely enjoyed the rare moment during their first day of being a married couple.

One of the bridesmaids, Joy Ann Baquilar, shared on Facebook a series of photos of the married couple crossing the flood; saying, “Ang kanilang pag-ibig ay parang baha at ulan din, hindi rin mapipigilan. Ito talaga ang tunay na nagmamahalan. Congratulations both of you!”
Baquilar also said, as per a GMA Story, that it rained during the night before the wedding; leaving the supposed route of the bridal car flooded. But Joey and Gina’s love for each other conquered even the flood; making their happy ending possible.
