Authorities arrested a man for dropping a bomb joke while at the Francisco Bangoy International Airport in Davao City, Super Radyo dzBB's Mao dela Cruz reported Sunday.
Personnel of the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group arrested Ramon Barrios, a passenger of Airphil Flight GA 32364 heading for Cebu.
Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) spokesperson Eric Apolonio said the flight was delayed as they have to conduct a security check on the airplane.
All passengers, baggage, and cargo were unloaded from the airplane. After an hour of inspection, the plane took off from the Davao airport at 9:47 a.m.
Barrios was turned over to the Sasa Police for the filing of cases against him.
