It was shortly before Christmas when Rhea Oraiz and her two younger siblings lost their mom.
It was heartbreaking for the young girl who would later stand as mother to the young kids, particularly to the 2-month baby who was born premature. But she would soon discover that her real mom is actually alive! Good news?
She cooks meals, washes clothes, and cleans the house while her dad, Rene Oraiz, is out to earn money for the family.

One day, Rhea was photographed by netizen Keiner Espinola as she was taking care of her baby brother, Isaiah. The photo would soon go viral, with many people commenting that it was touching that this young girl would do this for her siblings.
Many also wished to help out, especially after learning that Rhea wants to finish her studies and become a flight attendant to provide a better life for her family.

To feature her story, a team from “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (One at Heart, Jessica Soho)” traveled to Mangagoy in Bislig, Surigao del Sur in southern Philippines to find Rhea and her family.
In doing their research, the team learned that the woman Rhea had lost before Christmas was actually her stepmother. They would soon find Rhea’s real mother, Algie Enomar, who now loves over 500km away from Mangagoy. The team traveled to Tangub City in Misamis Occidental to find Algie.

A repentant Algie admitted that she was wrong in leaving Rhea behind, but she was scared of Rene’s mother who told her she can’t support the girl.
Rhea was just 8 months old when Algie left her – the young girl hasn’t seen her mother since then!
