A lot of people in China and other places affected by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) are scrambling to find masks to protect themselves. But as people are panic-buying boxes of masks for themselves and their families, there’s a shortage of supplies in many places.

And while there are still some shops that do have supplies, many have marked up the prices – and some at exponential rates! This left a lot of people without masks because these are too expensive for them to buy.
An old lady was recently seen crying in a bus because she feared she might contract the 2019-nCov as she doesn’t have a mask. Though she went around the city to buy one, she couldn’t find any she could buy as the masks being sold are too expensive.

The old woman broke down in tears inside the bus, afraid of the other passengers and unsure of what the future might bring to her.
Thankfully, a young man took pity on her and gave her one mask after learning that she’s crying because she was unable to buy one.

“This one old lady was seen crying because she couldn’t find any mask to wear on with cheaper price because some mask sellers are greedy enough for selling out the masks at higher price than the normal. Fortunately, the man who saw her gave a mask for free,” Facebook fan page Kim Ann Ah wrote.
The post went viral, with many people saying that their faith in humanity was restored by the man’s actions but they slam the mask sellers for taking advantage of the coronavirus scare. Many are also hoping that this crisis will be solved soon…
