A 15-year-old gymnast donning the Philippine colors bagged three silver medals, bringing honor to the country from Los Angeles, California, USA.
Filipina Rhythmic Gymnast Jessica Rayne Tijam captured three silver medals in the 2020 Rhythmic LA Gymnastics Invitationals held last February 2 in Sylmar, Los Angeles, California.
It was bared that the teen gymnast, who represented Emerald City Academy of Rhythmic Gymnastics in the nearby San Diego, made a silver medal haul in the Hoop, Ball and Ribbon apparatus, registering a score of 19.100, 19.800 and 15.400, respectively. She placed fourth in the Club event, scoring 16.300.

It was further disclosed that Tijam tallied an overall total score of 70.600, placing her second out of nine entries in the FIG Level 10 Senior category.
According to the Philippine Athletes at Multi-Sport Event, Tijam bannered the national delegation a year ago. She represented the country along with 13-year-old gymnastics prodigy Breanna Labadan in the FIG Junior World Championships in Moscow, Russia.

They did not advance in the finals of their respective categories but Tijam won a bronze medal in the ribbon category of the Koop Cup in Toronto, Canada.
A report bared that Tijam started representing the Philippines in 2019 after joining the Philippine National Women’s Rhythmic Gymnastics Team “despite being a favored top-ranking gymnast in the United States.”
