Former News Director reveals ABS-CBN illegally used money from its foundation to construct a new building, buy cars

Veteran broadcaster and former news director at ABS-CBN Jay Sonza has once again stirred the pot after he revealed more of the shenanigans that happened at the Kapamilya network during his stint as one of its top executives.

According to an article by The Asian Policy, Jay Sonza was interviewed on TAMBAYAN SA DWIZ yesterday when he spilled the truth about ABS-CBN Foundation.

He slammed the network for bombarding the airwaves with the network's supposed contribution to millions of Filipino through its foundation calling it LIES and pure propaganda. ABS-CBN has been airing reports of its contribution to the public in an attempt to gain public sympathy as it faces sanctions for its alleged violations.

Sonza then went on detailing how he and his former co-anchor Mel Tiangco paved the way for ABS-CBN Foundation's creation.

He also revealed who donated millions to their cause which involved a certain Don Fernando Zobel. He also recalled how his conversation with him went.

"Hijo, halika, gusto ko yang ginagawa n'yo ni Mel Tiangco, eto 1 million, kayo na bahala kayo ano gagawin d'yan," he said.

As the money continued to pour which now pegged at millions, it was only then that the network's management decided to form a real foundation thus the birth of ABS-CBN Foundation Inc..

Billions came and they constructed new buildings

Sonza also revealed that when the huge earthquake shattered Nueva Ecija and Baguio, the foundation received billions of pesos from donors and that the TV network never took any cash from its own coffers to extend any help.

Every peso that ABS-CBN gave came from private individuals and companies.

Sonza went on and detailed how the TV executives allegedly used money from ABS-CBN Foundation to build a new building and buy cars.

Shocked with Sonza's explosive revelations, the hosts quickly quipped that the executives might have committed serious violations there not and broke the trust of the public.

Jay Sonza then urged the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to conduct a thorough investigation regarding the matter.

Sonza also cautioned the public for believing the propaganda that ABS-CBN is spreading right now about the services they have rendered to the Filipino public.
