Senate President Tito Sotto joined three other senators in jubilation after
Lakers won their 17th NBA title with a 106-93 Game 6 win over the Miami Heat
Monday.
Sotto, along with Senators Panfilo Lacson, Ronald dela Rosa and Christoper Go,
wore face masks designed with Lakers to celebrate Lakers’ win.

“Congrats Lakers! #LakeShow #NBAFinals,” Lacson captioned the photos shared on
Facebook.
The senators, clad in their business suits, took selfies while wearing the
special Lakers masks.
Senator Lito Lapid also celebrated Lakers’ NBA championship by sporting a mask
with the team logo. A photo of the senator showing his Lakers’
allegiance was posted on Instagram by his son Mark. “Champion tayo
pinuno#lakersnation,” the former Pampanga governor wrote on Instagram.
Former Senator JV Ejercito also cheered Lakers’ victory against the Miami
Heat, saying the championship is a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant.
“Congrats LA Lakers! This one’s for you Kobe! LBJ and AD dynamic duo carried
the Lakers!” he tweeted.
He also commended Miami Heat for their effort despite the loss to the Lakers.
“Much respect to the Miami Heat! Talk about HEART!” he said.
