At her tender age, the girl already serves as the mother and father of her younger siblings.
The three siblings were left parentless by a series of unfortunate circumstances. When they were young, their father passed away after succumbing from a terminal illness.
After their father's death, their mother abandoned them and left the children in the care of their uncle.
From the household chores to personal hygiene, Xiao Ying makes sure that her siblings can live a normal life. As a matter of fact, she's a talented student with several honors.
Even though she already has a lot on her plate, this strong-willed 10-year-old girl still pursues her education.
She goes to school with her brothers by day and takes care of them during the night. Even though they are poor, she still perseveres to finish her studies in order to provide a better life for her brothers.
Once, their uncle suggested to put up her younger brothers for adoption. However, Xiao Ying disagreed because she doesn't want to part with her brothers.
For the young girl, she's willing to do anything just to stay whole as a family.
