Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is urging the millions of members of KAPA Community Ministry to file an impeachment case against President Rodrigo Duterte for impinging on their religious freedom.
Trillanes said KAPA and its founder, Pastor Joel Apolinario, could also wait for Duterte’s term to end (along with his immunity from suit) and file a class suit against the President.

He said this would allow them to recover their “donations” that were jeopardized with Duterte’s order to shut down KAPA for being a pyramid scam.
Trillanes said this was his advice to KAPA members assuming that Apolinario’s defense that KAPA was indeed registered as a religious organization with the Securities and Exchange Commission and that there has been no private complainants about not getting the guaranteed 30 monthly “blessings” promised by Apolinario.

In a Facebook post, Trillanes said: “Para sa mga lider at myembro ng Kapa, mag file ng kasong impeachment laban kay Duterte for culpable violation of the Constitution (i.e. Art. II, Sec. 6) dahil sa pagbaliwala nito sa kanilang religious freedom.”'
“Maaaring mag file ng class suit laban sa gobyerno at kay Duterte pakatapos ng termino nito para mabawi nila ang kanilang mga ‘na-donate’ na pera. Kung mananalo sa kaso, maari ding ipa-garnish ang lahat ng ari-arian ng Duterte family,” he added.
