The Mister Global Pageant had its 2019 pageant contenders take pictures in their national costumes. The pictures are stunning and hot and were shot by photographer David Ryo.

Mister Global, an annual beauty pageant for men, has been around for five years and just crowned its 2019 winner.

Korea‘s Jong Woo Kim was handed the crown during the finals held last week in Bangkok.

The 23-year-old police administration student beat 37 other competitors to win the contest.

Runners up include Tunisia’s Houssem Saïdi, second runner-up José Luis Rodrigo Navarro from Spain, third runner-up Kenan Murseli from Switzerland, and fourth runner-up Braulio Encarnación from the Dominican Republic.

But his victory was predicted by the folks at Missosology who report on all things pageant. The overall coordinator of the contest said that Jong Woo Kim was predicted to win as he was really a strong candidate.

The national costume contest was won by Myanmar, it's safe to say that most of the contestants made their homelands' proud by rocking well crafted and impressive costumes.

The event was founded in 2014 and since its first edition over 60 countries have sent their representatives to compete for the Mister Global Title.

However, this event is not merely a beauty contest, even though one of the main requirements of contestants is to be 'good looking' as the spokesperson of the pageant, Kitti Kamjunsa.

When asked what makes Mister Global different from other pageants the spokesperson explained: "Basically every pageant system is identical but what makes Mister Global different from the others is that we are part of the Top 5 Grand Slam Male Pageants."

The winner of the pageant will also become a Global Goodwill Ambassador and participate in environmental and charitable projects.
