Vice President Leni Robredo may have frosty relations with President Rodrigo Duterte, but it doesn’t mean the military is also giving her the cold shoulder.
Robredo revealed Monday (October 28) that she’s always invited to the events of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

“I have very good relations with them. In fact, I get regular security briefings from them. And ito iyong funny: kasi I’m not invited to any of the events of… of this administration—except if they are events of the military,” she said in an interview on ANC’s “Headstart.”
Asked if she sees the military’s invitation as an expression of support, Robredo said: “Hindi siguro support, pero it’s… it’s respect to the office, and it’s the military being above political.”
Robredo is noticeably only seen with Duterte in the military’s events, such as the change of command ceremony and the graduation of Philippine Military Academy cadets.

She was recently snapped posing for a selfie with Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and AFP chief of staff Gen. Noel Clement.
