Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go said Thursday he will have President Rodrigo Duterte checked up after he was involved in a motorcycle accident inside the Presidential Security Group (PSG) Compound.
“Sumemplang sa motor si PRRD kagabi habang nag-momotor,” Go told reporters in a Viber message.
“After namin bumisita sa isang wake sa Heritage, pauwi kami ng Bahay Pagbabago. Meron po siyang motor sabi niya matagal na gustong sakyan. Bilang rider po, namimiss na po ng ating Pangulo na mag-motor. Hindi po siya pinapayagan ng PSG mag-motor for security reasons,” Go narrated.
“Yung pangalawang motor na sinakyan niya medyo mataas, yung height niya e medyo nahirapan siya. Pagliko pagbalik niya dyan sa may Malago, biglang sumemplang medyo natukod niya dito (pointing the elbow),” according to Go.
In an ambush interview, the former Special Assistant to the President and now senator said that after the accident, the President complained about his hip.
“Masakit ang balakang. I’m worried kagabi sabi ko nga kung may iba pa siyang nararamdaman. Sabi ko mamaya pag madala ko ang doctor papa-check ko siya mamaya,” Go said.
PSG commander Gen. Jose Niembra said Duterte was in the Malago compound and he tried to use the motorcycle after his engagements last night.
Niembra said the President did not fall from the bike.
Details on the President’s condition were not disclosed.

In an Instagram video uploaded by actress Claudine Barretto at 2 a.m. today, Duterte was seen visiting the wake of Miguel Barretto.
During his previous speeches, Duterte mentioned issues on his spine due to a previous motorcycle accident.
