You might not be able to tell from street level on account of all the barriers and covers surrounding the construction site, but the new ₱1.6-billion BGC-Ortigas Center Link Road Project crossing Pasig River is finally starting to take shape.
If you take a look from up in the sky, you’ll see how much of the construction work has been completed. Check out the latest drone video update from YouTuber dmitrivalencia:
By the looks of the footage above, the four-lane bridge, which will span a total of 961 meters in length, is about halfway across the Pasig River already. There’s also noticeable progress on the Pasig side now, though there’s no sign of ramps on either side yet.
Construction first started in July 2017, and the project’s target completion date is June 2020.
Once the BGC-Ortigas Center Link Road Project completed, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) says it will serve as an alternate route for motorists looking to travel from Pasig to Taguig and vice versa.
