Woman forced to change hair to hide 'Monster Brows' after microblading goes wrong

A woman was left with "monster" eyebrows after she claims her microblading treatment went horribly wrong.

Shannon Bozell decided to take the plunge after years of over-plucking her brows - something many of us remember from the 90s - and splashed out $350.

But she was distraught with the final result, which she claims has left her with "big caterpillar eyebrows" that are far too big for her face - and she's been forced to change her hair to cover them as much as possible.

Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure that involves tiny needles scratching the skin and leaves a small amount of pigment in its place.

But Sharon, from Kalamazoo, Michigan, told CBS Austin that her dreams for the perfect brows soon drifted away when hers were left blistered, much darker and bigger than she'd hoped.

Shannon entered the salon with thin, blonde brows and left too embarrassed to even walk down the street, fearing further weird looks from onlookers.

In an attempt to hide her new brows, she dyed her hair dark and cut in a fringe, but says it still doesn't cover the damage.

She went back to the salon to complain and was offered another appointment to try and fix it by lightening and fix the arch.

But only 24 hours after the second job, Shannon noticed two large blisters forming on the arches of her brows.

The salon has since explained that because Shannon underwent two treatment in a short period of time, a lengthier recovery was expected.

Shannon was told to wait 30 days after the alteration so the eyebrows could shrink and would then reveal the newer, lighter colour.

She claims she's been denied a refund several times, with the salon offering to fix them instead.

Her before and after photos have gone viral after she shared them on social media.

The salon owner hit back on Facebook , calling out Shannon's post for being "hurtful", but has since deleted the post.

She also added that her business "is her everything" and despite her efforts to book Shannon in for further treatments, she declined.

And went on to have the procedure fixed by another salon instead.

Shannon has since been to another salon for follow-up treatment.

To avoid disappointment, make sure your technician has clearly outlined the procedure in full, before you go through with it.
