Looking to spend Valentine's Day? Bawal LQ sa Motel in this city this Heart's Day 💘

Love is in the air and Valentine's Day is fast approaching!

In a city in Cebu, lodges, inn, motels, and others within Mandaue City will be monitored with mobile patrols this Thursday, February 14, Valentine's Day.

Why?

To simply avoid any LQs or Lovers Quarrel. It is forbidden to fight, argue or quarrel with romantic partners or lovers who would like to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Chief Inspector Mercy Villaro, a spokeswoman for the Mandaue City Police Office, said that in the past few years they have monitored such establishments during the "Days of the Heart" at 4 in the afternoon until night.

Motel Lines Causing Traffic

Many Valentine's Day celebrators look forward to the day that there are even motels with cars waiting in line for their turn, which is one of the reasons for Mandaue City's patrol during 'Hearts Day'.

The MCPO also works with the Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue as a team effort to keep the day peaceful.

Other double security guarantees of authority include malls and restaurants as well as bank establishments, especially the salaries of other employees.

"For February 14, because it has been a yearly tradition na nato mga Pinoy nga mo-celebrate gyud ani, not just for lovers but also sa magpamilya, and dungan sad na sa ting-sweldo sa uban so we are expecting influx of shoppers ug mangadto'g restaurants, so police visibility, mas daghang' pulis atong iladlad sa palibot sa maong mga establishments, and places of convergence."

"Naa sad tay ipa-roving mga patrol car sa mga motel, lodge, kay sa mga previous years ato na nabantayan naa gyuy managlinya, so to avoid nga naay mag-awayan o lalis," said Villaro to Superbalita Cebu.

There will be roving patrol cars in motels, lodges, as in previous years we have been keeping watch over them, so to avoid conflict or mischief"]
