If you’re traveling to a new place, especially a new country, it’s always a great idea to experience its culture and try out the local delicacies. But what if you the local delicacy is as crazy as a bowl of rice, topped with roasted lizards? Ewwwww!

While they say that it’s not good to laugh at other country’s customs and traditions, including their delicacies, but netizens are completely grossed out with this one from Vietnam. After all, can you just imagine eating the lizards hanging from your ceiling?


Apparently, roasted lizard rice bowls are such a popular thing in Vietnam that there are farms that specifically breed house lizards.

In these farms, the house lizards are bred until they get to the right size. Then, they are roasted in the oven before getting by the kilos in the market!


It would not be surprising if vendors at the market might offer you a bag of dried lizard, touting it as the best delicacy in town. Yummy? No!!!

After posts about the roasted lizard delicacy went viral, netizens joke that they have found a way to get rich now because they have so many lizards at home!


The only problem, of course, is that they don’t live in Vietnam – and roasted lizards aren’t exactly popular in their home country. LOL.

But if you’re thinking about becoming a supplier for lizards to Vietnam, you could start collecting the ones we have at home.
