As the coronavirus spread across China, megacity Wuhan is in total lockdown. As lockdown measures rise across the Hubei province, encircling 22 million, health control is getting more stringent at airports.
Witness said the kids didn't say anything, just sat there quietly the whole time.
Officials used thermal detectors to scan for potential fevers as dozens of passengers filed through the security screening in other airports.
At the Nanjing Lukou International Airport, the young son was having a fever and is not allowed to board the flight to Changsha, according to witness.

The parents then argued with the staff at the boarding gate for 3 hours, kept asking airport staff to let them board as they were not sick. They eventually left their kids at the airport and board the flight themselves.
The ground crew had no choice but to take care of the kids.
Mulitple citizens verified the story, said that passengers are forced to switch boarding gates and caused a 3-hour delay.
According to the WHO, signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties.
In more severe cases, it can lead to pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.
Reports say the incubation period of the coronavirus remains unknown, but other sources say it could be between 10 to 14 days.
