The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology’s (Phivolcs) on Sunday raised Taal Volcano’s alert status from level 1 to level 2.
Phivolcs personnel said this means that there is probable magmatic intrusion that may or may not lead to an eruption.
Taal is an active volcano that straddles Cavite and Batangas provinces.
